Illustrated typography
Custom lettering commissions where each person's name becomes a reflection of who they are.
The brief is always the same: their name, their personality, their interests, their aesthetic—all compressed into one illustrated piece. Someone who loves gardening gets florals woven through their letters. A musician gets notes and instruments. A traveler gets maps and landmarks.
The work is part lettering, part illustration, part visual biography. It's personal without being sentimental, custom without being precious. Each piece takes a lot of dedication: sketching compositions, choosing what elements actually matter (not everything can fit), refining the balance between readable and decorative. These started as one-off requests and became a small ongoing stream of work. Turns out people like seeing their identity visualized in a way that's theirs alone.
